The publisher of prestigious travel guides says Cleveland should be high on every tourist’s list to visit. “Fodor’s” named the city one of its 25 must-see destinations for 2015, citing arts and culture offerings, a hot restaurant scene and LeBron James’ homecoming. Cleveland is ranked along with Paris, Barbados and Iceland on “Fodor’s” list.
Painesville Girl Gives Socks to the Sockless
A nine-year-old Painesville girl is giving people warm feelings and warm feet for Christmas. Nadia Cruz and her family delivered more than 400 pairs of socks collected since November to the Laura’s Home crisis center in Cleveland The socks will be given to children living in the shelter.
Burglaries in Wickliffe
Home security issues are being exploited by thieves in Wickliffe. Police say more than a half-dozen cars and garages were broken into this week, with money and power tools among the stolen items. Residents are being reminded to lock their cars and garages at night and keep all valuables out of sight.
Lakewood Holiday Car Thieves Nabbed
Three grinches are behind bars in Lakewood, accused of stealing Christmas from locals. Two women and a man were arrested yesterday after police say they stole four cars in four days. Thefts were reported from a hotel, restaurant and two apartment complexes, including one in which the keys were left inside the vehicle.
